In between the HIP POCKET THEATRE productions I made my living working as a designer and puppet fabricator for the TROTTER BROTHERS PRODUCTION company in Wichita, Kansas. This company mounted full stage puppet touring shows and amusement park installations. I'll be posting some of the designs I did for them asell as a few photos of the puppets we created during the 1970's.
I took a summer school class with the Trotter Brothers at the College Hill neighborhood performing arts center. I was also asked to audition for Gretel for their production of Hansel and Gretel. I came to the wonderful, amazing home/production studio I've ever seen! I was taken on a tour to see some of the puppets and marionettes. I had a horrible summer cold and ultimately did not do well with the audition. Bob and Dave sent me tickets to every production...with a personal note to me each time. Such wonderful memories for me!! Thank you!!
