STORYTOWN USA. I mentioned this amusement park in my last post. It was a fairly large old 1940's family owned place in Lake George, NY, the centerpiece of which was a series of life-sized figures of famous storybook characters. In 1977 the owners spent about a million dollars building an International Village as the new entrance to the park and TROTTER BROTHERS got additional contracts to provide costumes and entertainment in this new section. The top photo shows a "Gypsy" Greeter costume which I designed and we built in Kansas. There were actually three of these outfits since at least one was always at the dry cleaners. My boss, DAVID TROTTER is seated in the outdoor cafe in the lower photo.
