Every Design for me begins the same way...with doodles of ideas as they pop into my head. I've filed some of these notepaper or napkin sized jottings away for years before they at last are turned into full scale drawings and designs. My basic idea for the Martain War Machine and it's scale came from this rough sketch. Every Machine was based on the triangle form. I wanted them to seem somewhat Victorian in inspiration while the angular metalic surfaces would stand out as "otherworldly".
